This is a program that meets all labor & delivery and postnatal needs of the new Mother and newborn(s), and beyond. Among other services included are: 
  • Hospital stay in a 3-room comfortable suite, 
  • Personal newborn nurse station, 
  • PMC Ambulance service before and during labor, 
  • In-home pediatrician and lactation consultations within days after delivery, 
  • Admission to the hospital within 8 weeks after delivery in case of postpartum complications.

List of Medical Services included in Labor & Delivery Contract – 

VIP Program

  1. In-home conduction of fetal monitoring and test result evaluation by a PMC M.D. during pregnancy. Patient is required to sign an Addendum to the Contract.
  2. Patient examination in the admissions unit by OBGYN on-call upon arrival to PMC for labor.
  3. Hospitalization of Patient with signs of early labor for in-patient observation in pre-delivery room (on a once-only basis; for no longer than 12 hours).
  4. Management of vaginal or surgical (via Cesarean section) singleton or multiple births performed by a medical team consisting of:
    • OBGYN;
    • Anesthesiologist;
    • Neonatologist (Pediatrician);
    • Midwife; Nurse-anesthetist, OR nurse.
  5. In case of medical necessity during C-section conduction of the following surgical procedures: conservative myomectomy, ovarian cystectomy, annexectomy, artificial tubal obstruction, adhesiotomy.
  6. Blood transfusion to Patient, in case of medical necessity.
  7. In case of medical necessity, in-patient medical care up to 3 hours after delivery performed in a private birthing room.
  8. In case of medical necessity in-patient medical care in the Intensive-Care Unit of the Anesthesiology and Reanimation department, up to 12 hours.
  9. In case of medical necessity, lab and functional testing during in-patient care, indicated in pp. 2 - 8.
  10. In case of medical necessity, conduction of histological examination of the placenta and/or post-surgery material.
  11. Administration of pain medication during labor and delivery on medical grounds and with Patient’s consent.
  12. In case of medical necessity, infant resuscitation in the birthing room.
  13. In-patient medical care for Patient in a private room in one of the physiological departments or the observation department up to 3 days of hospital stay after vaginal delivery/ department up to 6 days of hospital stay after Cesarean delivery. In-patient medical care shall include: Patient examinations by PMC OBGYNs and other medical specialists upon medical necessity; lab and functional testing, in case of medical necessity, except molecular diagnostics, radiology diagnostic (CT, MRI, X-ray); drug treatment; breastfeeding support provided by a postpartum unit midwife.
  14. In-patient medical care for newborn(s) in one of the physiological departments or the observation department up 3 days of hospital stay after vaginal delivery/ department up to 6 days of hospital stay after Cesarean delivery. In-patient medical care shall include: newborn care; examinations by PMC neonatologists (pediatricians) and other medical specialists upon medical necessity; lab and functional testing, in case of medical necessity, except molecular diagnostics, radiology diagnostic (CT, MRI, X-ray); drug treatment, except medical services indicated in Addendum #2 to the Labor & Delivery Contract; Hep B and tuberculosis vaccination (in absence of counter-indications and with the Patient’s consent).
  15. If circumstances indicated in pp.13-14 occur, individual infant nurse care service is available.
  16. Individual infant nurse care is available at the postnatal unit upon Patient's request within the duration of hospitalization within the terms indicated in pp.13-14. Service shall be provided within 3 hours after receiving the Patient's request before 8 pm, and within 12 hours after receiving the Patient's request after 8 pm.
  17. Physiotherapy.
  18. In-patient care in the NICU (up to 400 hours) and/or in the special care nursery for newborns (up to 31 day), in case of singleton pregnancy, when baby is delivered at 37 weeks+ gestation age (on medical grounds and if proscribed by the OBGYN). In that case medical care provided to the newborn within the mentioned above terms and in the mentioned units may include the following medical services:
    • Examinations and consultations of PMC medical specialists;
    • Lab and functional testing;
    • Drug therapy;
    • Radiology diagnostic (CT, MRI, X-ray);
    • Other medical services listed in Addendum 2 to the Contract, except medication Curosurf (80 mg/ml 1,5 ml Nycomed (Austria), administration on which is paid for separately;
    • Other medical procedures available in PMC, excluding surgical treatment.
  19. One postpartum in-home visit to examine the breast, available upon Patient's request within the first 7 days after check-out from PMC.
  20. Out-patient examination by an OBGYN and conduction of pelvic organs Ultrasound within 56 days after delivery.
  21. One consultation with a psychologist in the School for Moms within 56 days after delivery.
  22. Up to 3 emergency team visits (within 50 km from MKAD) during pregnancy, including ambulance transportation to PMC.
  23. One in-home pediatrician consultation within 14 days from check-out (within 50 km from MKAD). Available on week days within 2-3 days after Patient's request.
  24. In-patient medical care (one-time hospitalization) within 8 weeks after termination of in-patient medical care indicated in p. 2.1.13., in case of the following postpartum complications:
    • Complications from the uterus: postpartum hemorrhage, subinvolution of the uterus, hematometra, endometritis;
    • Complications from the beast: engorgement, mastitis;
    • Complications from uterine and/or vaginal tissue and/or post-surgical stitches;
    • Complications from low tension circulation system: hemorrhoidal tumors, thrombophlebitis, venous thrombosis;
    • lochioperitonitis.
  25. Except for VIP and LUXE contracts, in-patient medical care is provided in private rooms for the duration of up to 7 days of hospital stay and includes: Patient examinations by PMC OBGYNs and other medical specialists upon medical necessity; lab and functional testing, in case of medical necessity; drug treatment (except for the services listed in the Addendum to the Contract, which are to be paid for separately).
